Create your own Platrick the no-sew platypus in under 2 hours this easy crochet pattern! This pattern includes 1 PDF file loaded with progress pictures, as well as detailed instructions and video tips showing how to assemble the platypus. No parts are sewn together in this pattern; the legs are crocheted into the body as you go. The bill is sewn flat.
The following stitches are used in this pattern: chain, single crochet, increase stitch, half double crochet, and single crochet decrease stitch (these last 3 stitches are explained in the pattern)
Materials you will need*:
• Crochet hook size: H/5 mm
• #6 super bulky weight yarn**: brown for the body (90 yds/83 m needed) and charcoal or dark brown for the bill and feet (25 yds/23 m needed)
• 1 pair of 18 mm 3D trapezoid eyes or black safety eyes (see note 1)
• Polyester fiber fill stuffing
• Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker

**This pattern can be made with any yarn weight; if using #4 medium worsted weight yarn or #5 bulky weight yarn, there are two small changes that are noted in the pattern.
When made with #6 super bulky weight yarn and a 5 mm hook, the finished platypus measures 12.5 inches (or 32 cm) long. When made with #4 medium weight yarn and a 3.75 mm hook, the finished platypus measures 9 inches (or 23 cm) long.
